Applied R&D
The institute of applied information technologies InIT operates in the area of application oriented research and development. It offers services and R&D to its industrial partners as follows:
- Project and Diploma Thesis
Annually, over 100 Project and Diploma Thesis are attend. This gives industrial partners a chance to gain experience with new technologies or to let specific questions be analysed. Students do Project Works twice a year (150-300 hours). The Diploma Thesis are yearly written in autumn during seven weeks (300-900 hours).
- Enhanced Projects (KTI, NF, EU)
Very common are enhanced project works (KTI) with industrial partners. This project works are usually supported by a scientific assistant and a teacher. Project works typically last 1 to 3 years. An investment of the industrial partner, minimum 50%, is expected. In turn the results are full available for the partner. Aim and schedule can be defined by the partner in accord with InIT.
- Contract Project
InIT would like to do project work on a contract basis for its industrial partners. The partner decides the aim and the schedule of the project by himself. The cost is normally assumed by the industrial partner.
- Long Term Cooperation
Research and development services, education and other services like coaching and consulting are assured to industrial partners by having long term cooperation. There will be a basic agreement between the industrial partner and the institute.
Additionally to ist own skills, the institute is in contact with many other institutions of different areas like mathematics, physics, data analysis, linguistics, law and economics, all located at the ZHW.
